Bandari snap up Sharks attacker Oluoch, Wazito’s Origa

Bandari's new signing Felix Oluoch
  • Bandari has so far signed four players
  • They finished last season at third place
  • Kenya Police have also reinforced their squad

FKF Premier League side Bandari FC have reinforced their squad with the signing of striker Felix Oluoch who joins the club after leaving Kariobangi Sharks while midfielder Fidel Origa has joined them from Wazito FC.

The dockers finished third place last season and have been keen to strengthen their squad as they seek a first time ever top flight league title.

Oluoch will be a worthy inclusion for the dockers as they reinforce their striking force, an area that coach Anthony Kimani said was of concern at the end of last season.

“I am really delighted to have joined Bandari. We sat down with the coach and he talked me through what his project is at the club and what he would want to achieve. He also explained why I am important to his project and I immediately felt that this is the best place for me,” the striker said.

Oluoch joined Sharks at the start of last season from then NSL side APS Bomet and went on to become their top scorer despite missing a huge chunk of games at the end of the first leg due to injury.

Bandari offer best deal on the table

He had been rumoured to be headed back to APS who have gained Premier League promotion for the first time ever, but Bandari offered him a better deal.

The dockers have meanwhile also brought on board defender Omar Somobwana from AFC Leopards while they have exercised the buy option in Mohamed Abeid’s loan from Coastal Heroes.

Elsewhere, Kenya Police FC have brought on board four new players in their quest to challenge for the title this coming season. Police who participated in the Premier League for the first time last season are looking to invest heavily for a better performance this campaign.

Kenya Police’s new signings

They have brought on midfielder Patillah Omotto from Kariobangi Sharks, the latter leaving after 15 years with the William Muluya-coached team.

Also coming into the side is striker David Okoth from Kakamega Homeboyz, as well as the KCB FC duo of Baraka Badi and Reagan Otieno.

Strengthen all departments

“We are looking to strengthen the team in many departments. We also have some of the players we signed last year but had gone for Police training and we hope to have them back before the season starts. I am sure we will be a tough team this season,” said Police coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo.

The club is also hunting for the signature of Tusker FC goalkeeper Patrick Matasi, who is however facing a stumbling block with a year left on his contract with the reigning champions.

Matasi has reportedly gone on strike at Tusker to force a move to Police who are said to have offered him a job. However, Tusker’s management is holding out that he cannot leave for free and Police have to buy out his contract.

But, Police are not prepared to spend on the custodian, but negotiations are on to find a middle ground.
