According to Forbes methodology, the operating cash flow is for the 2020-2021 season. Based on comparable transactions, team values are enterprise values (equity plus net debt) that include the economics of the team’s stadium (but exclude the value of the real estate itself.

1. Real Madrid-$5.1 billion

According to Forbes, the 13-time European champions last held the top spot in 2019. Real Madrid has been named the most valuable football team in six of the magazine’s 18 rankings.

The club had an operating income of $90 million in 2020-21, and their $5.1 billion valuations represent a 7% year-on-year increase.

Real Madrid is the world’s sixth most valuable sports franchise, trailing only the Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees, New York Knicks, Golden State Warriors, and Los Angeles Lakers. They will earn more than $100 million due to their pass to the Champions League final.

2. Barcelona-$5.1 billion

The Catalan giants are the second most expensive football club and are tied for the world’s most valuable team in any sport with the NFL’s New England Patriots.

Barcelona, owned by club members, had an operating income of $17 million last year, and its $5.1 billion valuations represent a 5% increase in one year.

3. Manchester United- $4.6 billion

With a total net worth of $4.6 billion, Manchester United, also known as The Red Devils in England, is our third most valuable team in Europe.

Manchester United earned $671 million in commercial sales, match day sales, and broadcast revenue in 2021. As a matter of fact, Manchester United will be England’s richest football club in 2022.

4. Liverpool-$4.45 billion

According to Forbes, Liverpool is the fourth wealthiest soccer team in the world, with a total net worth of $ 4.45 billion. It is also England’s second richest soccer club.

The elite football team earned approximately $655 million in 2021, making it the second-highest revenue earner in that year.

Liverpool has attained significant on-field success since its beginnings. The club has the longest unbeaten record at home in club history.

5. Bayern Munich – $4.275 billion

Bayern Munich is Germany’s most successful soccer club; Germany’s richest soccer club is the world’s third-richest football club in 2022. According to Forbes’ rankings, it was valued at around $4.22 billion in 2021, with a revenue of $703 million.

6. Manchester City- 4.25 billion

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City had a successful season on the field, defending their Premier League title by finishing only one point ahead of rivals Liverpool.

City earned $156 million in operating income last year, and it is $4.25 billion valuation represents a 6% increase in one year.

Big-spending PSG has Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar among their ranks. The French champions, owned by Qatar Sports Investments, had an operating loss of $102 million last year, and their $3.2 billion valuations represent a 28 per cent increase in one year.

8. Chelsea- $3.1 billion

In 2022, Chelsea will be the eighth richest club in the world and the third richest football club in England. According to Forbes, Chelsea’s net worth is $3.1billion, with a revenue of $520 million the previous year.

9. Juventus-$2.45 billion

Juventus, nicknamed the “Old Lady,” is owned by the Agnelli family and is valued at $2.45 billion, a 26 per cent increase in one year. The Italian behemoths earned $26 million in operating income.

10. Tottenham Hot Spurs- $2.35 billion

Spurs will return to the Champions League next season after finishing fourth in the Premier League, ahead of Arsenal’s rivals.

Forbes values the north London club at $2.35 billion, a 2% increase yearly. In the 2020-21 season, they earned $127 million in operating income.
