Top five male players with most Grand Slam titles in Open Era

In Tennis, a Grand Slam is achieved when a player wins all four major championships in the same calendar year:

5. BJORN BORG -11

He was also the first man in the Open Era to do so.

Novak Djokovic’s year began with a flurry of controversy. Due to his anti-vaccine stance, he was disqualified from competing in the Australian Open 2022.

His stance cost him the chance to defend his title correctly.

In addition, a chance to become the all-time leading men’s singles Grand Slam winner was squandered.

Despite this, the Serbian has won the Grand Slam 20 times.

In 2021, he had one of his best years, winning three major Grand Slam singles titles, including the Australian Open, French Open, and Wimbledon.

Nadal defeated Daniil Medvedev in five sets, the second seed and current US Open champion. Nadal was down 0-2 after two sets, and the match was one of the great comeback victories.

In addition, this was his first Grand Slam appearance since missing the last two in 2021.

Rafa finally got the victory he deserved by taking it to the Russian. He won the match 2-6, 6-7, 6-4, 6-4, 7-5, putting him at the top of the men’s tennis ranking.
