Ferrari launches the F1-75 car ahead of 2022 season
The Scuderia aspires to return to the top of the Formula 1 grid
The major challenge faced by Ferrari in the Formula 1’s new era

Ferrari has unveiled its new F1-75 car for the 2022 Formula One season, intending to return to the top of the field.
The Scuderia hasn’t won a championship since 2007 and has struggled in the midfield while Mercedes and Red Bull battle it out in front. In 2021, they finished third after overtaking McLaren in the standings late in the season, with début driver Carlos Sainz placed fifth in the drivers’ standings and teammate Charles Leclerc seventh.

With a digital debut of the F1-75, Ferrari has shown their interpretation of the revolutionary technical restrictions set for 2022.
In 2022, Ferrari faces one major challenge: can the Scuderia get off the ground as Formula One’s new era begins?
With a competitive campaign in 2021, the Scuderia rebounded from their worst season in 40 years, finishing third in the constructors’ championship.
“This is a significant day for us since we are launching our Ferrari F1-75. I’m enthusiastic about it because this car is the result of each of our hard work, devotion, and love.
It’s because of the efforts of a group of people who have put everything they have into this car, working with courage, ingenuity, and teamwork “Mattia Binotto, Team Principal, stated.
“We have a great group of people here who have become stronger as a result of their dedication to this project, and I am proud of them.

We took a creative approach to this project’s challenges because, aside from the requirements of wholly new technological rules, we felt we had to approach this exercise with an open mind.” Added Binotto
2022 has seen that F1 undergoes an important regulatory change that will usher in an entirely new age of car design, perhaps shaking up the grid order and allowing Ferrari to contest for race victories and both titles once more. However, this will necessitate the team nailing the transition’s finer points.
The rule modification was designed to improve the level of racing in Formula One.
The return of ground effect aerodynamics is intended to allow drivers to follow each other closer, while a five-inch increase in the width of the Pirelli size is part of a strategy to help drivers to push harder for longer.
“Yes, I’m fully prepared for this season,” Sainz stated. “2021 was a fantastic year for me because I was able to see how the team operates on the inside, adjust to a new environment, but most importantly, learn about the Ferrari brand and how everything works from here, and it was a fantastic learning experience.”

Now is the moment to push the team to the next level, to the next step, and as drivers and as a team, we all want more things and greater success in 2022 – so let’s go get it.”
Ferrari’s 2022 livery is generally similar to the previous design, with a mainly red body complemented by black color blocks on the halo, rear wing, and front wing.
Both the front-wing endplates and the engine cover have the device of returning sponsor Santander, the Spanish bank that was linked with the team during Fernando Alonso’s time as a driver.
The engine cover also has several cooling vents on the sides, similar to the Aston Martin AMR22 shown last week.
“I adore it!” said Leclerc. “If it’s fast on a track, I’ll enjoy it even more.
“It appears aggressive, radical,” Sainz continued. “I think it’s lovely, as well.” I hope it happens quickly! [The new larger tires] should allow us to push a little harder in the races.
The visibility issue is a concern; it may be tough in street races.”
Pre-season testing for the F1-75 will take place on February 23 in Barcelona, before the season kicks off on March 18 with the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Ferrari is the sixth team to declare its challenger for 2022. Mercedes, the reigning world champions, will begin their will begin their season on Friday, with Alpine following suit on Monday.
