Daria Chernyshkova, the wife of reigning US Open champion Daniil Medvedev is the epitome of true love.
She is always a darling for the media, not just for her looks but the fact that she is a former tennis player too.
When the Russian out his best skills in the US Open 2021 to deny Novak Djokovic a 21st Grand Slam title, Daria was there to cheer her husband. She followed the game closely and there was no better way to mark their third anniversary than with this victory.
Just like the proverbial saying that behind every successful man lies a woman, Daria is a perfect example.

Who is Daria, the Wife of Daniil Medvedev?
Daria is a former Russian tennis player. In spite of the fact that she played tennis until she was 17 or 18, injuries prevented her from reaching her potential.
Although Medvedev keeps his love life private, the two lovebirds first met in 2014 and love blossomed. They were both young and full of dreams by each other.
In September 2018, the couple exchanged vows just before Medvedev competed in the Davis Cup.
The Russian says that it is fantastic that Daria is familiar with tennis. He adds that though Daria loved tennis, injuries cut her dreams when she was only 18. Injuries became a part of her.
Because of the game, she is aware that they can’t go shopping before a game. He has a busy schedule at times sometimes running from morning to evening.
Medvedev says it is easier to understand each other because she has been in tennis and understands most things.
“Getting acclimated to tennis when you don’t understand a single thing about it may take some getting used to. In both my personal and professional lives, it has been beneficial,” The Sun quotes him.
Does Daria and Daniil Medvedev Have a Family?
Medvedev and his wife Daria do not have any children currently. The 25-year-old lives in Monte Carlo, Monaco, with Daria.
The tennis star takes treasures his parents so much that they always feature in matters family. They live in Sergey and Olga.
What Does Daniil Medvedev Think of Daria?
Daria is more than a wife for Medvedev. The tennis champion openly shows his affection for his wife –not once or twice; on numerous occasions.
He considers her the most important family member of his team. During a presser in 2019, he said Daria is the most crucial team member he has.
Apparently, Daria gives her a lot of confidence. In fact, he attributes his success to Daria.
“I always say that it’s the moment I made the proposal to her, that’s when I started to go up,” Medvedev said.
Interestingly, he was only 15 and it was immediately after a spirited match at Wimbledon. He made his best American swing then and has always made it since then.
Dari does a lot for Medvedev in order for him to play better tennis especially after marrying Daria in 2018.
He recalls that “Before I made a proposal, I had been on the 65th place in the ranking, and then in ten months I’ve won two major tournaments and entered the top 10. We have significantly rebuilt our life, we work for each other.”

On the other hand, Daria in an interview with local Russian media, Tatler Russia narrated how she met Medvedev when she was only 12.
”Suddenly we hear someone yelp. My mother asks me what’s going on. Veronika Kudermetova’s father starts to laugh and says, this is Medvedev. Don’t you know him?”
She says her husband is a go-getter and will do everything to win. And it is a trait he always had since he was a teenager in tennis.
“So we went over and watched the match. Three and a half hours, moon balls, 50-stroke rallies. Since childhood, Daniil has always fought to the end, he was ready to do anything on the pitch to win – no matter how ugly his game looked. Nothing has changed in this regard.

A secret wedding was held for the world No.2 and Daria in September 2018 just before the Russian athlete competed in the Davis Cup.
When Daniil won the US Open in 2021, he made a rare statement about his wife on their anniversary.
He said that a few days before their third anniversary, he couldn’t come up with a gift for Daria. So, he decided to take the Grand Slam title home as a present for her.
He added that winning was the only thing that was on his mind then because he needed the perfect present for his wife.
