ATP Masters Series is one of the big tennis events that many look forward to in all tennis events. Since the ‘90s when it started, the big names in the game featured prominently. And here are the tennis players with the most ATP Masters 1000 titles.
Novak Djokovic – 37
When it comes to the ATP Masters Series, he is the only player who can truly claim victory.
As of now, Djokovic is the only player to have won at least once in the nine Masters Series events. In addition, he is the only player to have triumphed in each of these tournaments more than once.
Having won his first Cincinnati race in 2018, he went on to win his second in the same event in 2020, making it a two-year streak.

The Miami Open and the Paris Masters are his two most successful tournaments, with six titles each. In 2015, he had his finest Masters season ever, the best season by any player ever.
Djokovic’s 10th Rome Masters crown came in the 2021 tournament for his 36th and most latest Masters-level title.
With the exception of the Madrid Open, Djokovic reached the finals at all eight competitions in which he competed. Six of those eight finals he won, he only lost to Murray and Federer in Montreal and Cincinnati.
Only Novak Djokovic has won six ATP Masters 1000 championships in a singles season, and he did it in 2015. Finally, in 2021, he surpassed Rafael Nadal for the all-time lead in the 1000-level rankings with his sixth triumph at the Paris Masters.
In a nutshell, Novak Djokovic has competed in the most ATP Masters 1000 events of any player ever.
Rafael Nadal – 36
To put it another way: 26 of his 36 Masters titles have come on clay.
Nadal has won the Monte Carlo Masters 11 times, the Rome Masters 10, the Madrid Masters 4, and the Hamburg Masters 1.
Rafael Nadal had the best year of his career at the ATP Masters Series level in 2013, capturing the Indian Wells tournament and the Monte Carlo final before winning Madrid, Rome, Montreal, and Cincinnati.
All but one of Nadal’s eight tournament appearances that year saw him reach at least the semi-finals, with the exception being Miami.
The Spaniard has yet to win Miami or Paris in the Masters tournaments. In Miami, Nadal has reached the final five times, while only once in Paris, in 2007.
Roger Federer-28
Federer won 22 out of his 28 Masters 1000 titles on hard courts, as previously revealed by the great man himself.
The 2002 Hamburg Masters, however, was his first major championship on clay for him at that level. In the final, he beat Marat Safin.
When Federer won Indian Wells, Miami, Hamburg, and Cincinnati in 2005, it was his best ATP Masters Series season yet. This time around, he won four championships and finished in the finals in Monte Carlo and Rome.
It was at Cincinnati that Federer had the most success in the Masters, winning in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2014, and all of those years in between.
Monte Carlo and Rome, where Switzerland has also reached four finals, have yet to produce a Swiss winner. Only two Masters titles have eluded Roger Federer.
John Isner defeated him in the final of the Miami Open, where he won his most recent victory in 2019.
Andre Agassi – 17
At the beginning of the ATP Masters Series’ existence, the eight-time Grand Slam champion was a big winner.
In fact, he won only the second Masters tournament played, the Miami Open in 1990. At the tender age of 19, he defeated Stefan Edberg to win the championship.
It was over two and a half years after this first triumph that Agassi won his second, at the 1992 Canadian Open in Toronto, Canada. In 1995 and 2002, he had his best seasons at the Masters 1000 level, winning three wins each year. For the most part, he had a great run in Miami with six victories there between 1990 and 2003.
In addition, Agassi is the only other player to win all six Masters hardcourt titles, joining Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. He is definitely one of the big wigs in ATP Masters Series.

Andy Murray -14
The former world No.1 is a big star in ATP Masters Series. He boasts of a string of Masters 1000 successes before his career-altering spate of injuries in 2017 set in.
In 2008, Murray won his first Masters tournament in Cincinnati, and he followed that up with a second in Shanghai the following year. In 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2016, he won four titles in the Chinese Masters tournament in Beijing.
In 2016, he had the finest season of his career at the Masters 1000 level, reaching five finals and winning three of them. In Rome, Shanghai, and Paris they triumphed over Madrid, Cincinnati and Shanghai.
As a result, he became the world’s top-ranked player for the first time following his performance in Paris. In addition, it was his 14th and most latest ATP Masters 1000 crowns.
