The France national team has confirmed that Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has left the squad ahead of the November international break world cup qualifiers after picking up an injury in training on Monday, 8 November.
Clips from the France training grounds showed Pogba limping away from Monday’s session after appearing to injure himself during a shooting drill.
It has since been confirmed by the French Football Federation that Paul Pogba has injured his right thigh and has been sent back to his club for further tests to avoid further complications.

“Victim of an injury to the quadriceps of the right thigh, Paul Pogba is forced to forfeit the next two meetings of the French team” a statement read.
Pogba will have to miss France two matches scheduled for this break, the first one on Saturday, November 13 against Kazakhstan at the Parc des Princes and the second one on Tuesday, November 16 in Helsinki against Finland.
In his place, Roma’s Jordan Veretout has been called up by Didier Deschamps, the federation has confirmed.
Pogba is already serving a three-game suspension at Manchester United in the Premier League following his dismissal in the 5-0 defeat to Liverpool, with his final omission scheduled to come against Watford on 20 November immediately after the international break, making him available against Chelsea on November 28, but that is now not sure due to the injury.

According to reports from France, not only would Pogba not be fit enough for that one anyway, but initial scans on his injury suggest he could be facing between eight and ten weeks on the sidelines, meaning his 2021 could be over already.
The first game for which Pogba would be eligible to return for troubled Manchester United is the Champions League meeting with Villarreal on 23 November, with a trip to Stamford Bridge to face league leaders Chelsea coming five days later, but it seems as though he’s going to miss both of those, as well as potentially plenty of other crucial games in the month of December.
Once Pogba returns to Manchester on Tuesday, he will undergo further tests on his thigh to confirm just how long he is facing on the sidelines.
United have already seen Marcus Rashford withdraw from the England squad through injury, while left-back Luke Shaw is yet to be released to the Three Lions while United staff monitor the head injury he picked up against Manchester City on Saturday 6, November.
