Egyptian International Mohamed Salah is pushing for a new salary as his contract with Liverpool ends in 2023.
The Liverpool winger recently met his agent Ramy Abbas in London as talks with Liverpool on increasing his salary continue.
Salah’s reputation is growing bigger by the day thanks to his skill and world-class scores.
For instance, in the 2021/2022 season, he is on a great start. Salah has 10 goals to his name this season alone.
He is Liverpool’s top player by virtue of hitting 100 league goals for the club.

How Much Is Mo Salah Demanding In New Salary?
Salah is looking at €592,000 every month in his yet-to-be new contract. He currently takes home €237,000 per – equivalent to $12 million every season.
However, Liverpool feels this is too much. And if they paid this amount, Salah will become the Reds’ top-earning player.
Should Abas manage to strike the deal with Liverpool in the new contract, Salah will also join the highest played players in Premier League.
Does Mohamed Salah Deserve This New Salary?
It is a dicey subject and deeply divisive but Salah deserves a higher pay than he currently earns.
The Egyptian forward’s presence in Liverpool can be felt since 2018 when he joined from Roma.
He was signed alongside Virgil Va Dijk. The duo brought charm and purposes to Liverpool that the club won the Premier League.
The Reds took the EPL title for the 2019/2020 season – the first time in 30 years. Further, Liverpool won the 2018/2019 Champions League.

Salah’s name has booked a place among other big names like Cristiano Ronaldo, Eden Hazard, and Ryan Giggs.
Other big legendary names include Robert Pires and Freddie Ljungberg. These are the footballers who battle for the “greatest winger” title.

Since 2017, the Egyptian has racked up 101 goals and 36 assists in 151 PL appearances for the Reds.
It is a sign of his consistency. In 2017/18, season, his goal tally dipped marginally below his XG for the season.
A first league title for Liverpool in 20 years, the sixth European Cup accompanied by a host of individual awards placed him into the pantheon of league and club greats.
He has netted once every 130 minutes for Liverpool and is the fastest to score 100 goals for the club in fewer top-flight appearances than any other player in Liverpool history.

The plaudits for his solo effort against Manchester City immediately drew the ire of Chelsea fans, who claimed that Eden Hazard’s goal against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge in the title-winning 2016-17 campaign was better.
Hazard was also a player, who could rival Mohamed Salah on most goal-scoring metrics in the Premier League and in terms of style of play.
His eight seasons at Chelsea yielded 85 league goals and 56 assists. Like Salah, he too won a European trophy for his club and was part of two title-winning campaigns under Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.
Individual awards followed as well, but in relative terms, he did not have the same level of impact that Salah can have on games.
Consistency in goal-scoring and also a lack of defensive contributions could hamper his chances of being the greatest Premier League winger ever.
Liverpool for Life
Salah does not consider leaving Anfield for any other club. He has one year left in his contract with the Jurgen Klopp-led Premier League club. Sky Sports cites that Salah is set on playing for the Reds until his retirement but adds that this is solely dependent on the club.
“If you ask me, I would love to stay until the last day of my football career, but I can’t say much about that – it’s not in my hands,” Salah stated.
“It depends on what the club want, not on me. At the moment I can’t see myself ever playing against Liverpool. That would make me sad. It’s hard, I don’t want to talk about it, but it would make me really sad.”
