Lionel Messi’s Panenka penalty was the difference in an intense atmosphere against RB Leipzig at Parc des Princes.
Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe were saviors of the night despite a huge team of stars in the Paris Saint Germain line-up.
The Paris Saint Germain team had been beaten 2-1 by the in-form Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, but it only required Messi magic to turn things around.
With Neymar missing on the PSG’s line-up, Mauricio Pochettino was forced to start, Julian Draxler, on the spot along with Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe in the Final third. It was not an easy task for the attacking duo of Messi and Mbappe but through hard work they cushioned themselves defeat on home turf.

Mauricio Pochettino’s team, are now top of Group A at the halfway stage, a point above City, who won 5-1 at Club Brugge earlier.
Leipzig, beaten by PSG in the semi-finals in 2020, are bottom without a point to their name
PSG went ahead early, thanks to a fantastic finish from Kylian Mbappé, but an impressive turnaround from Leipzig had them leading just after the hour mark, after a fantastic assist from former Man City left-back Angelino.
The Argentine would later be on target after a momentous connection with Kylian Mbappe to equalize 2-2 before Kylian Mbappe was pushed over in the box. Messi stepped up to take the spot-kick sending RB Leipzig’s goalkeeper in the opposite direction to net in a fine Panenka penalty down the middle. Such was magic and absolutely fascinating.
RB Leipzig lost the game despite being the better side in the Tuesday night football, the German club in the later stages of the game conceded another penalty but Lionel Messi who was on a hat trick let his fellow teammate Kylian Mbappe take it only to sky it high.
PSG has a lot of talents at their disposal, even as they continually struggle to win games and concede a lot of goals in every match this means that if the club does not improve in the coming days Mauricio Pochettino could be on the chopping board soonest possible.
