Gary Neville is known for controversies in the corridors of football. The former Man United right-back appearing on sky sports on Monday Night football show responded to his followers who had demanded that he calls out Ole Gunnar’s managerial at Man United.

According to Gary Neville’s counterpart, Jamie Carragher Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had done a good job at Old Trafford but was not at par with other managers such as Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola, and Thomas Tuchel.

Although Neville admitted that the pressure was growing for Ole Gunnar to produce results given the world-class players at his disposal he vowed not to criticize him.

“The club is not going to change him. It’s not the right time to discuss it right now.

“I’ve got Manchester United fans on my social media saying ‘you won’t call him out. You’re right. I won’t. He said.

Neville distanced himself from conversations that would spark hatred with his fellow teammate in the event he gets sacked.

“He’s a club legend, he’s my team-mate, I actually like him a lot. And Manchester United has failed with two previous managers who have been world-class.

“You’re up against three of the best teams in the world in Chelsea, City, and Liverpool, with three of the best managers.

“But the pressure is building. It should do. What a collection of players – they’ve now got to start to perform, and he’s got to get them to perform.”

United is on a run of just two wins in seven matches and face rivals Liverpool next Sunday at Old Trafford in what could be a crunch clash for Solskjaer and his players.

Further, Gary Neville pointed out that the biggest problem that could be haunting Manchester United right now was nothing else but the players themselves.

He said United’s dressing room is on a fight on who is who in the game and thus bringing disunity in the field that in turn produces poor results.

“The aura of Ronaldo, Fernandes is walking around with his arms out all the time, Pogba doesn’t know if he is staying or leaving, the emerging captain Maguire thinking how he controls this lot.

“Ole has to solve it this week. On Sunday, this lot are an odd bunch, they could out and do Liverpool. They have to get that spirit and dynamic right.” He said.

Manchester United has tough fixtures this month and in the coming month and if they continue with a poor run it could see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer relieved his duties.

Tomorrow, United play Atalanta at home for the Champions League group qualification and then play Liverpool on Sunday who are in the mood of winning this season.

Despite the club’s hesitation to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and insisting he is safe according to Fabrizio Romano,  a defeat on these two coming fixtures could see a change of mind from the board.
