Quick Recovery! Fans Wish Petra Kvitova Over ‘Stomach Issue’

Petra Kvitova fans were quick to wish the World number 11 Czech tennis player a quick recovery on Friday.

Petra retired from the set at the Cincinnati Open following “stomach issues” for days. She was battling it out with Germany’s Angelique Kerber.

“I stayed out there as long as I could. I have been struggling with a stomach issue for several days and unfortunately couldn’t finish the match today,” she tweeted.

She also apologized to Kerber for missing out on the game promising to have it someday.

“Good luck Angie – sorry to end it that way – and can’t wait for the next battle with you Petra will face off with Australian world number one star Ashleigh Barty in the semi-finals.

Barty sailed to the semi-finals following victory over Barbora Krejcikova.

Barty thrashed the Czech ninth seed 6-2, 6-4 to secure a slot in the semi. The two-time Australian Grand Slam champion needed this win so much to book a slot in the semi-finals.

It came after losing in the second set. Barty will face off with the German player in the semi-finals.

Petra’s fans wished her a quick recovery after alerting them on what happened.
