Manchester United are still hopeful of signing Aston Villa star man Jack Grealish who has been heavily linked with the club for a while.
However, the Red Devils need first to offload unsettled midfielder Paul Pogba.
Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has said the Frenchman’s time is up at Old Trafford and is expected to move on either in January or summer transfer window.
Pogba’s future is yet undecided but Real Madrid and Juventus are interested in the 6ft 2 player.
However, United will only let him go for a substantial amount of money when offers come flying in.
United paid Juventus for a then-world record transfer fee of £89.3 million in 2016 for Pogba who went on to win the League Cup and the Europa League in his first season.
Despite having lacklustre performances in a couple of seasons, they would want some decent money should they sell the French World Cup winner.
Most likely, the money they recoup from the sale of Pogba would facilitate the signing of England international Grealish.
The 25-year-old has made a name for himself in the Premier League that has turned English club’s heads.
Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and even Liverpool who were interested at one point would battle for the Lion’s ace.
This season, the Claret and Blue have been on form, playing very well and putting together some incredible results with Grealish being at the heart of it.
Grealish has created the most chances in the Premier League this season for a team which looks like they are challenging for a European spot.
The Pogba – Bruno Fernandes relationship has been good but has not struck to the chords where both are crucial first-team players.
Fernandes is, of course, a regular starter while 27-year-old Pogba pretty much comes off the bench.
Grealish is more of an attacker than Pogba who plays in the middle of the park and should Grealish move to United, the team would need to change its formation.
However, the Villains would be desperate to snub any offers, especially in January to hold on to their valuable player at least till the end of the season.
