French-Mali football forward Mustapha Yatabare has sent Turkish Football club Sivassport to the top of the Turkish Super Lig after he scored the match-winning goal at Vodafone Park in the Turkish capital Istanbul on Sunday.

Yatabare ensured Sivasspor their 2-1 victory over opponents Besiktas shortly after the game had been tied 1-1 at half time, Goal reported. Sivasspor is a Turkish professional football club based in the central Turkish city of Sivas. Formed in 1967, they currently play in the Süper Lig.

Yatabare’s winning kick was his eighth league goal of the season after 17 appearances.

He was born in the French town of Beauvais and began his career at his hometown club AS Beauvais. He stayed at the club until 2005, before signing for Amiens SC, to be part of the youth system.

In 2006, he joined Championnat National side Villemomble Sports, scoring eight goals in 25 appearances, before earning a move to Ligue 2 side Clermont Foot in 2008.
