Emotionally charged Guinea too good for Namibia

Emotionally charged Guinea too good for Namibia - Sports Leo

Guinea moved to the top of Group A standings in the qualifiers for the 2021 Total Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) after their 2-0 victory over Namibia in Guinea took them to four points.

The emotionally-charged Issiaga Sylla scored a first-half goal just ahead of the halftime break. He lost his father just three days ahead of the match and he duly lifted his jersey to dedicate the goal to his late dad.

It was also a sweet moment for Sylla who scored an own goal in last week’s 2-2 draw with Mali.

Jose Kante scored the second goal to hand the Guineas the three points.
