SA Under-23 captain Tercious Malepe was named in the CAF Africa Under-23 Cup of Nations ‘Team of the Tournament’ in Cairo.
Malepe, a star defender, presently plays for Chippa United where is on a loan spell from Orlando Pirates.
SA qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics after defeating Ghana in the bronze medal play-off at Cairo International Stadium on Friday evening. This could be Malepe’s second trip to the Olympics after he was capped in the Rio 2016 squad.
