PSG complete double deadline day signings

Icardi complete move to PSG - Sports Leo

French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain have completed the signing of striker Mauro Icardi and goalkeeper Keylor Navas from Inter Milan and Real Madrid respectively.

Despite the Neymar debacle, PSG have been able to close their transfer dealings on a rather high note to prepare for the upcoming season.

The Argentina forward Icardi who has scored 124 goals in 219 appearances for the Serie A giants has joined the Paris-based club on a season-long loan.

Icardi gives PSG attacking options despite Kylian Mbappe’s and Edinson Cavani’s injuries. Barcelona-target man Neymar seems to stay in the club for the remainder of the season.

“I am very happy because it is a great feeling to play for a team like PSG.

“For me, it is a great opportunity for my career and I hope to do my best. playing in a top team together with great players like the ones who PSG have,” the 26-year-old in-form attacker told media outlet Eleven Sports.

Inter Milan’s new man Romelu Lukaku has already shown his reliableness in front of goal and is fitting well in the Italian side.

Costa Rica international Navas penned a four-year contract with the Par de Princes from Madrid with Alphonse Areola moving the opposite direction on a loan deal.

32-year-old Navas fell down the pecking order between the sticks with the arrival of Belgian international Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea.

Navas joined the Galacticos in 2014 and has gone on to win three Champions League titles, three UEFA Super Cup one La Liga title, and one Spanish Super Cup.
