Golden Arrows will play AmaZulu at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in a Durban derby on Saturday (starts at 3 pm).

Arrows recorded their first draw of the season when they held Orlando Pirates 0-0 in Soweto on August 28.

Abafana Bes’thende have also recorded two wins (over Maritzburg United and Chippa United) as well as a 5-0 loss (to Bloemfontein Celtic) so far in 2019/20.

AmaZulu remain winless after four rounds of the 2019/20 league season.

Their latest disappointment was on August 27 at the Makhulong Stadium where they were beaten 2-1 by Highlands Park. Usuthu at least managed their first goal of the campaign through Bonginkosi Ntuli.

In head-to-head stats, Arrows and AmaZulu have met in 24 league matches since 2001/02.

AmaZulu have claimed 11 wins compared to nine for Abafana Bes’thende (Arrows), while four matches have been drawn.

Arrows have recorded six wins, one draw and five defeats from 12 matches as hosts in this rivalry.

Last season AmaZulu took four points off Arrows, winning 2-0 at home in December 2018 (with a brace of goals from Bonginkosi Ntuli) before playing out a 1-1 draw in the return game in April 2019.

AmaZulu have won seven of the last 10 league meetings between the teams.
