Cameroon striker Clinton Njie signs for Dynamo Moscow in Russia

Cameroon’s Clinton Njie has signed a four-year contract with Russian side Dynamo Moscow as he looks to revive his stalling club career.

While the 25-year-old attacker was one of the first names on the team sheet for Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) in Egypt, he didn’t feature all that much for French club Marseille last season.

The transfer to Dynamo Moscow is an opportunity for Njie to do justice to his enormous potential.

He started his career at Lyon in France and then moved to England to play for Tottenham Hotspur.

His time at Spurs wasn’t very fruitful and it motivated his move to Marseille in 2016.

While Cameroon crashed out of the 2019 Afcon in the Last 16, Njie has a winners’ medal from the continental competition. He was a member of Cameroon’s title-winning squad of 2017.
