The PGA Tour star recently hit the headlines following his filing for divorce against Erica Stoll who he has been with for seven years. In his divorce filed in Florida’s Palm Beach County recently, Mcllory cited irreconcilable differences between them. But it was a past narrative repeating itself in this case.

When the PGA Tour player ended their relationship, the tennis player had already begun to send out wedding invites. The three years they dated sparked a fierce romance between them and they felt convinced that they could spend time together. Mcllroy would later on in life, admit dating a celebrity is a hard task. He said that this reality sunk on a weekend.

He said that dating a fellow athlete is never easy. Furthermore, Mcllroy acknowledged that there was no better method to break up with someone you’ve known for a long time.

He added: “Even above that is the class and the principles that you live by, and that means more than any match you could ever win, any tournament you could ever win, and it’s for that reason that young girls look up to you, the whole world looks up to you for what you do and what you stand for, and why I look up to you so much. As a man you’ve made me a better person. I love you with all of my heart and promise to treat you like the most special woman now and forever.”
